My Story

The mark of a fortunate life is one with varied experience. Yet, one cannot deny the effect of where we're born and brought up on the core of our values. The UAE is a country renowned for its exponential expansion and accumulation of a variety of cultures towards its endeavours into a concentrated frame of time from its inception in 1971. What this means is, the city I was born in, the capital Abu Dhabi, and I grew up together, pretty much. And though it may only be the man who travels that understands something of the human condition, I was fostered in the first of the hubs, an environment where infrastructural development was cutting edge, luxury was commonplace and taxes remained a vague concept until fairly recently. It was also not uncommon to be able to list friends from fifteen different countries with an expat population of 80%. Nature was also abundant, as anyone who has lived a dessert by the sea life will tell you. This unique upbringing makes me a rare find for a place that requires class and adaptability.

The interesting thing is I've lived through more than one historic change; I spent six years in Bangalore right over the cusp of the IT boom. I moved to Luton (UK) in March of 2008 on a visa that was made obsolete by the end of the year thanks to the recession. It was actually after my time in England that I gained the confidence and experience to make singing my career.

I started in Bangalore, home of my alma mater J.N.C. but soon moved to half homeland/performer's paradise Goa, where I have spent every season except for three years in the Andaman islands with Barefoot Jungle Resort and one year in Auroville. I've played all over India and spent a summer busking on the streets of south Germany. I've also lived for over a year and half in Chiang Mai, Thailand and am currently experiencing Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Now, due to a series of fortunate circumstances. I have been earning my living as a musician for well over ten years. I have travelled a lot and met a lot of beautiful people on the way. Beyond singing I have several passions and talents, but learning is the main one. If you're looking for someone who understands the responsibility that comes with trying one's best, and has the intelligence not only to identify situations that require solutions, but to then make those work irl, I'm your woman.

I'm every woman.

I'm every woman
